Police probe wreck

Two men were flown to hospitals Monday afternoon following this two-vehicle accident on Route 119 in Burrell Township.

According to state police in Indiana, the accident occurred around 4 p.m. as Matthew Henigin, 27, no hometown given, was turning onto Dean Drive from Route 119 South.

Police said Henigin crossed in front of a northbound vehicle driven by Jesse Boyd, 22, no hometown given, and Boyd’s car broadsided Henigin’s pickup truck. Boyd suffered a serious injury and was flown to an undisclosed hospital. A passenger in his vehicle, Zachary Bell, 21, no hometown given, suffered a moderate injury and also was flown to an undisclosed hospital.

Neither was wearing a seatbelt, police said.

Henigin, who was wearing a seatbelt, was not injured.
