Stabbing victim attends prom
MURRYSVILLE (AP) — A student badly wounded during a mass stabbing at his Pennsylvania high school last month has attended prom with his girlfriend.
Jared Boger, 17, attended the Franklin Regional Senior High School prom Friday. He is able to walk but also used a wheelchair to ease the stress.
Boger suffered injuries to his liver, diaphragm and blood vessels and underwent four surgeries after the April 9 attacks at the school outside of Pittsburgh.
Alex Hribal, 16, is charged as an adult with 21 counts of attempted homicide and aggravated assault and a school weapons violation. Police say he attacked students and a security guard in a hallway just before the morning bell.
