Woman charged in plane assault
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Sasha Anderson, 23, is accused of assaulting a flight attendant aboard a Miami-bound plane at Philadelphia International Airport Monday morning.
Tinicum Township police said Anderson was removed from US Airways flight 2051 when she threw her cell phone at a flight attendant, slapped him and scratched his face.
She’s charged with simple assault, reckless endangerment, harassment and disorderly conduct. The name of the flight attendant wasn’t released.
Police said other passengers were afraid to leave the ground with the disruptive passenger on the plane.
The plane took off about an hour and a half later.
