Woman cited

Indiana Borough police said Alyssa Rosamilia, of Hollidaysburg, Blair County, was highly intoxicated at 1:49 a.m. Monday, when officers found her lying on North Eighth Street between Water and Oak streets.

Officers cited Rosamilia, 21, with public drunkenness.

Hit-and-run

The driver of a 2018 Nissan Rogue fled at 6:27 p.m. Dec. 24 after the vehicle hit a second vehicle on the northbound lanes of Route 119, state police reported today.

Police reported a 39-year-old Indiana man and four others were traveling in the damaged vehicle. No one was said to be injured.

DERRY TOWNSHIP, WESTMORELAND COUNTY

Assault

An Indiana woman, 45, told state police that a patient bit her right hand at 1:04 p.m. Jan. 6 while she worked at Torrance State Hospital.

Charges have not yet been filed.

YOUNG TOWNSHIP, JEFFERSON COUNTY

DUI

State police reported that a 31-year-old man from Rochester Mills was found intoxicated during a traffic stop at 10:13 p.m. Sunday on Route 119 at Yates Road. Charges are pending the result of a blood test.

PERRY TOWNSHIP, JEFFERSON COUNTY 

Firearms violation

State police at Punxsutawney investigated a report that a customer was denied the purchase of a .270-caliber rifle because of a background check for the transaction at 11:25 a.m. Oct. 5 on Saint Jacobs Church Road.

Police didn’t release the name of the would-be gun buyer. No charges have yet been filed.
