State police say they have yet to sort out the differing tales given to troopers Friday afternoon following a domestic dispute along Route 85 near Bush Road.
At about 1:30 p.m., police surrounded a home where a participant in the squabble was said to have a gun.
“Troopers established a perimeter and secured the residence,” an investigator reported. Police detained the suspect upon exit from the house but “upon further investigation, conflicting accounts of the incident were reported by the victim and witnesses and the suspect was released.”
Bell Township, Clearfield County
A motorist from Erie was discovered intoxicated in a vehicle that was stopped in the middle of Colonel Drake Highway at 6:15 a.m. Dec. 15, state police at Punxsutawney reported today.
The suspect, a 30-year-old woman, has yet to be charged.
Young Township, Jefferson County
A customer stole an Xbox system and an HP brand laptop computer from Walmart along Route 119 at 10:40 p.m. Dec. 19, according to a report released today by troopers at the Punxsutawney station.
Investigators said the suspect, a tall, stocky middle-aged white man with a piercing on his chin, fled in a black four-door car.
Unity Township, Westmoreland County
State police reported that an 18-year-old Latrobe man assaulted three people on various dates at an Adelphoi Village secure-housing unit and will be charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment.
The victims — Allan Shank, of Homer City; Christopher Luchs, of Rector, Westmoreland County; and a 17-year-old boy from Latrobe — suffered minor injuries in assaults that were captured on surveillance video, police said.
“The assaults occurred on separate dates … (and) the victims decided to report the assaults to PSP Greensburg” on Jan. 10.
