Assault

State police charged Rae Ann Schwarz, 25, and Grant Braun, 19, both of Indiana, with simple assault and harassment in connection with a domestic altercation at 10:06 p.m. Tuesday on Curry Run Road.

Both were held Wednesday at the Indiana County Jail with bond set at $2,500 each.

BURNSIDE, CLEARFIELD COUNTY

Man cited

A Burnside man, 49, shouted profanities at a 50-year-old Burnside woman in the presence of her grandchildren at 7:27 p.m. Friday on Main Street and was cited with a summary count of disorderly conduct, state police reported. Police withheld the names of the suspect and the woman who raised the allegations.

BURNSIDE TOWNSHIP, CLEARFIELD COUNTY

Theft

A black, 2014 Chevrolet Cruze owned by a Cherry Tree woman was stolen between June 10 and 25 from Patchin Highway, state police reported. The car bears Pennsylvania license plate LGR-9329.

BELL TOWNSHIP, JEFFERSON COUNTY

PFA violation

State police said John Wingert, 47, of Punxsutawney, violated a court-issued protection-from-abuse order held by a 47-year-old Punxsutawney woman at 10:01 p.m. June 24 at 1576 Robertsville Road.

BANKS TOWNSHIP

DUI

Stephen St. Clair, 57, of Mahaffey, was charged June 17 with driving under the influence of drugs and two summary traffic infractions connected with a traffic stop on Route 36 at 11:17 a.m. April 25.

A hearing is scheduled for Aug. 10 before District Judge Christopher Welch in Clymer District Court.

Vandalism

Someone damaged the windshield of a 1998 Ford Ranger truck late Monday or early Tuesday at 720 N. Fifth Ave., state police reported.
