State police at Indiana said a 39-year-old Johnstown man was charged with retail theft and a second-time misdemeanor count of receiving stolen property after taking $417.27 worth of items from the Walmart along Oakland Avenue on Thursday afternoon.

Troopers said they were called at 2:49 p.m. after the suspect was stopped by Walmart Loss Prevention personnel. Charges were filed through Homer City Magisterial District Judge Susanne V. Steffee.


Retail theft

State police at Indiana said a 40-year-old Black Lick man was arrested on Friday at 5:15 p.m. at the Walmart along Resort Plaza Drive for stealing $142.29 worth of wristwatches.

Troopers did not release the name of the suspect.

School fight

State police at Indiana said a 17-year-old female and a 17-year-old male, both from Blairsville, got into a dispute on Thursday at about noon at Blairsville Senior High School.

Troopers said a verbal argument became physical as both individuals shoved and punched each other, causing visible signs of injury on each other.
