Michael Blair, 49, of Indiana, was charged with a single count of driving under the influence in a complaint filed last week in Indiana District Court.

Indiana Borough police discovered Blair intoxicated in a vehicle in the parking lot at Sheetz, 380 Philadelphia St., at 1:49 a.m. Wednesday, according to a news release.

Indiana Borough police charged Stephen Nelson II, of Pittsburgh, with driving under the influence with a blood-alcohol level between 0.10 and 0.16 percent and three summary traffic violations resulting from a traffic stop at 2:44 a.m. Dec. 7 on South Seventh between Church and School streets.

Nelson, 25, was charged in papers filed Jan. 6 in Indiana District Court.

Drug possession

Indiana Borough police charged Brittany Arcurio, of Indiana, with misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia in a complaint filed last week before District Judge Guy Haberl in Indiana.

Arcurio, 33, was found in possession of contraband at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 30 at 28 S. 12th St., police said.


Borough police reported that a Blairsville man, 45, was discovered intoxicated at 1:37 a.m. Friday on the 600 block of Philadelphia Street.

Investigators said the man was found to be manifestly under the influence of alcohol to the point that he was a danger to himself. A charge has not yet been filed.

White Township

PFA violation

State police reported that Nathaniel Lavan, 35, of Creekside, recruited a third party to contact a person who had obtained a protection-from-abuse order against him at 2:26 p.m. Dec. 27 on Saltsburg Avenue at Laurel Street.

West Wheatfield Township

Drug possession

A Centre County man was discovered with suspected marijuana and paraphernalia in his vehicle during a traffic stop at 9:32 p.m. Friday on Route 22 at Shady Grove Road, state police reported.

Charges have not been filed.

East Wheatfield Township


David Rankin, of Northern Cambria, was charged by state police with driving under the influence, failing to drive an interlock-equipped vehicle and two summary traffic infractions in a complaint filed Jan. 3 in Blairsville District Court.

Troopers at Indiana charged Rankin, 40, in connection with a traffic stop at 2:06 p.m. Nov. 29 on Gas Center Road at Beverly Lane.

A preliminary hearing is set for Feb. 29 before Judge Robert Bell.


PFA violation

A Westmoreland County man violated a court-issued restraining order Thursday, according to state police at Indiana.

Troopers reported Kyle Manners, 22, of New Kensington, attempted to contact Charity McCachren, 29, through a third party at 170 Walcott St. in violation of a protection-from-abuse order she holds against him.

North Mahoning Township


State troopers from Punxsutawney reported that a Punxsutawney man, 70, was suspected of driving while intoxicated at 8:57 p.m. Saturday on Gourley Road at Route 119.

Troopers encountered the motorist during a traffic stop and reported that charges have not yet been filed.

Charges against a Clarion County motorist also are pending in the wake of a traffic stop on Route 119 at 7:47 p.m. Friday, state police reported.

Blacklick Township, Cambria County


Douglas Melius, of Nanty Glo, reported to police that someone broke through the basement door of a house he owns at 1026 Station Road and stole two cases of metal files.

The intrusion was discovered at 2:24 p.m. Saturday, according to troopers at Ebensburg. Police estimated the damage and loss at $300.

Loyalhanna Township, Westmoreland County

Firearm violation

Donald Baker, 39, of Saltsburg, has been charged with a felony count of providing a false written statement for the purchase or transfer of a firearm and a misdemeanor count of providing a false statement under penalty, online court records show.

State police at Kiski Valley reported the violations took place at 5:05 p.m. Oct. 8 at 961 County Road. Troopers provided no other details. Court records show that police filed the complaint against Baker on Friday.

Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County


A 25-year-old Indiana man and a 33-year-old man from Big Run, both inmates at Jefferson County Jail, are suspected of breaking a window in their cell at 5:40 p.m. Saturday, state police at Punxsutawney reported. Troopers withheld the men’s names. No charges have been filed.
