An Indiana woman, 23, was suspected of stealing $81.97 worth of merchandise at 2 p.m. Wednesday from Walmart in SouthTowne Plaza, state police reported.

Online court records show charges have not yet been filed.

Assault

A 16-year-old girl from Rossiter was accused of assaulting a Rossiter man, 62, and woman, 61, at 4655 Lockvale Road at 8:12 p.m. Sept. 11.

State troopers withheld the names of the youth and the purported victims and cited the teen with simple assault and harassment, according to a report.

YOUNG TOWNSHIP

Harassment

State troopers at Indiana responded to a report of a suicidal woman on Second Street at 1:53 p.m. Sept. 7 and said she was sent to Indiana Regional Medical Center for mental health care.

Police classified the matter as an act of harassment by physical contact. No charges have been filed.

DUI

Troopers from the Indiana station said a Vandergrift man was suspected of driving while impaired following a traffic accident at 12:37 a.m. Aug. 23 on Iselin Road at Elders Ridge Road.

Investigators charged Steven Brown, 40, with driving under the influence and two summary traffic violations.

A hearing is set for Oct. 14 in Blairsville District Court.

WEST WHEATFIELD TOWNSHIP

Drug offenses

Three West Virginia residents had supplies of marijuana and related paraphernalia in their Subaru Forester when state police halted the vehicle for traffic violations at 8:04 p.m. Sept. 4 on Route 22, investigators said.

Online court records show troopers charged Dominique Mosley, 19, of Oceana, with possession of paraphernalia and Travis Wilson, 45, of Hurricane, with possession of paraphernalia and controlled substances, in complaints filed Sept. 17 at Blairsville District Court.

A Charleston man, 21, also was listed as a suspect in the incident but has not yet been charged.

Hearings have been set for Oct. 21 for Mosley and Wilson.

Tanner Hart, 26, of Altoona, was charged Sept. 17 with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and a summary traffic offense after police found contraband in his car during a traffic stop at 3:57 P.M. Sept. 5 on Route 22 at Shady Grove Road.

District Judge Robert Bell ordered him to appear for a preliminary hearing Oct. 21 in Blairsville District Court.

DERRY TOWNSHIP, WESTMORELAND COUNTY

Citations

A disturbance at Mugs Tavern along Route 217 spawned citations against two people on Friday evening, according to state police at the Kiski Valley station.

Meagan Nolan, 32, of Latrobe, hit Jerrad Vallorani’s face twice at 8:30 p.m., then Vallorani spit on Nolan at 10:30 p.m., according to news releases issued today.

Each was cited with a summary count of harassment by physical contact, police said.

BELL TOWNSHIP, JEFFERSON COUNTY

DUI, drugs

A Punxsutawney man, 60, was suspected of driving while high on drugs at 8:30 p.m. Sept. 13 on Smyerstown Road at Juneau Road, according to a report released today.

Charges have not yet been filed.

BURNSIDE TOWNSHIP, CLEARFIELD COUNTY

DUI

A 36-year-old woman from LaJose was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs following a traffic stop at 1:08 a.m. Sept. 14 on Five Points Road, state police reported.

Troopers said the investigation is incomplete.
