An Allegheny County woman was taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center with a suspected head injury after a two-vehicle crash on Oakland Avenue.

State police at Indiana reported that the crash occurred Tuesday around 11 a.m.

A 2018 Mazda 3 driven by Wesley Carter, 24, of Larimer, Allegheny County, entered Oakland Avenue from a stopped position at Papa John’s and struck a 2016 Buick Encore operated by Geena Hammer, 20, of McKees Rocks, police said.

Carter’s vehicle sustained disabling damage, but he was not injured. Hammer was taken to IRMC for treatment. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, police said.
