Donna Wilkerson Warren, 49, of New Alexandria, was not injured in a one-vehicle crash Friday just before 7 p.m.

State police at Kiski Valley said she was driving on Route 981 when she failed to negotiate a left curve on the road and struck an embankment before overturning.

Trooper Jeffrey Walton said Wilkerson Warren was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. The airbag for the driver’s seat deployed. Her 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt was towed from the scene.

State police at Kiski Valley reported that a vehicle, whose driver was not identified, struck a parked Derry Township fire department vehicle that was parked at the scene of another crash.

Troopers said a 2007 Ford Freestyle struck the driver’s side door of the Ford F-550, which was open. The vehicle hit the door with its mirror.

The incident occurred Saturday at 6:10 p.m.


State police at Kiski Valley investigated a two-vehicle accident Friday at 5:42 p.m. on Route 22.

Trooper Luke Hanko said the crash took place just west of Hollywood Boulevard. He said a 2010 Hyundai Sonata driven by Edward Kennedy, 63, of Greensburg, was stopped in the right eastbound lane when it was hit from behind by a vehicle operated by Florence Huson, 84, of Latrobe.

Neither driver was injured. Hanko said both were wearing seat belts.
