BRADENVILLE — Blairsville and Black Lick volunteer firefighters were among those called out this morning for a series of incidents in and around Unity Township, Westmoreland County. Indiana County Emergency Management said Blairsville was dispatched at 1:57 a.m. and Black Lick at 1:58 a.m. to a house fire along Longview Drive, just outside Latrobe.
They were assisting Lloydsville Fire Department and others involved with the house fire. There were no reports of injuries, but pictures from the scene as posted on social media showed the house completely engulfed in flames.
Another company involved, Bradenville Volunteer Fire Department, posted on Facebook that crews went from duties at Friday’s Derry Area High School football game to four separate incidents in Derry Township as well as the fire in Unity Township.
Bradenville posted “special thanks” to Derry Borough and Blairsville volunteers for covering its call while Bradenville volunteers were involved with another incident involving a bulldozer.
