Drug offense

A Philadelphia man was charged with several felony drug trafficking offenses following a traffic stop at 9:19 a.m. Thursday in the 500 block of Philadelphia Street, state police reported today.

Jonathan Ward, 25, was a passenger in the car and was found holding a large amount of heroin, crack cocaine and suboxone, according to a report.

Investigators briefly sent Ward to the Indiana County Jail to await preliminary arraignment. Troopers charged him with three counts of possession with intent to deliver, three counts of possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.

District Judge Christopher Welch released Ward on unsecured bond to await a preliminary hearing on July 6.

Troopers said the driver, a 25-year-old Clymer man, was found with heroin in his possession. No charges have been filed.


ID theft

A 43-year-old woman from Vintondale told state police that someone used her identification at 12:30 p.m. Friday on Plowman Road. Troopers provided no other details and reported no arrests.



A Dixonville man, 47, reported to state police that someone caused $50 of damage to the door frames on the front and back of his house on Willow Street at 7:47 p.m. Sunday.

Police withheld the property owner’s name and gave no other information about the incident.



Somebody cut a lock on a garage door on Twenty Four Road at noon May 2 and stole six Husqvarna chainsaws, state police reported. The name of the person who filed the report, a Clymer man, wasn’t released.



A Saltsburg woman, 25, told state police that a Saltsburg man, 22, grabbed her shoulders, shook her, pulled her hair and punched her head four times during an altercation at 9 a.m. Monday.

Troopers at Indiana said the dispute took place on Red Street in Iselin.

Investigators called it a domestic dispute, withheld the man and woman’s names and have not yet filed charges.


Criminal mischief

Harry Bush, of Ligonier, removed from 1250 W. Fourth Ave. a table that belongs to George Bush, of Derry, and placed it in the back of a truck at 5:11 p.m. Thursday, state police reported.

The table then fell from the truck and was destroyed. Troopers only reported the loss was less than $1,000.

Police cited Harry Bush, 71, on Monday with a summary count of criminal mischief.
