DERRY TOWNSHIP, WESTMORELAND COUNTY

Burglary

State police at Kiski Valley investigated a burglary that occurred Nov. 2.

Trooper Joseph Volpe said someone entered a residence along Pittsburgh Street and removed multiple items valued at approximately $2,685 and left between 8 a.m. and 4:20 p.m.

Among the items stolen were a Yamaha receiver and stereo, four-foot speakers, a Blu-ray player with remote, a Sony VCR, a Volt drill, a flashlight, blue pillow and leather jacket.

BELL TOWNSHIP, WESTMORELAND COUNTY

Simple assault

State police at Kiski Valley investigated a simple assault that took place Sunday at 5 p.m. at a house in the 1100 block of Hilty Road.

Troopers said the incident involved an unidentified 51-year-old Saltsburg man, but did not provide any additional details.

SALEM TOWNSHIP, WESTMORELAND COUNTY

Burglary

Someone stole a Taurus revolver, a Mossberg shotgun and a grandfather clock from a residence in the 100 block of Morgan Lane.

The items, valued at $4,800, were taken sometime between Oct. 1 and Oct. 22.

The victim is an 81-year-old woman from Export.
