The following law enforcement agencies have released reports of department activity for September:
State police, Indiana
Troopers at the Indiana barracks along Route 286 in White Township received 1,912 calls for service in September, Lt. Joseph Loughran said in a monthly news release.
The criminal investigations division fielded 219 reports of offenses, determined 12 were unfounded, cleared 145 cases and arrested 155 suspects.
On area highways, troopers responded to 84 crashes that resulted in injuries to 31 people and included one fatality. Troopers connected five of those crashes to impaired driving, investigated 11 hit-and-run accidents and arrested 30 motorists for DUI, according to the report.
State police also wrote 936 traffic citations, including 30 for seat belt infractions and two for a child safety seat violation, and issued 218 written warnings.
The troopers assisted 29 motorists and inspected 28 commercial vehicles, Loughran reported.
State Police, Ebensburg
State police at Ebensburg handled 697 incidents in September, with 119 criminal offenses reported and founded, 96 criminal arrests and 96 criminal offenses cleared.
Sgt. Michael A. Shardella said troopers handled 22 crashes, including four hit-and-run accidents, with seven injuries. Two crashes involved driving under the influence and 15 individuals were arrested for DUI.
Shardella said Ebensburg troopers issued 372 traffic citations and 100 written warnings, cited 22 motorists for seat belt violations, assisted 14 motorists and inspected 22 commercial vehicles.
