WESTOVER — Homecoming was held two weeks ago.
Since Harmony High School does not have a football team, we celebrate our homecoming toward the end of basketball season.
The homecoming court was announced in January, after the middle school and high school students voted on who they wanted on the court.
It was announced that seniors Mikala Eger, Megan Gallaher, Erin Hutton, Lila Spacht, Deidra Woodward, Tim Light, Joe Neff, Evan Novella, Tyler Tiesi and Nathan Young would be a part of the homecoming court.
Many Harmony alumni came to support the varsity team, competing against West Branch.
After the court came into the gym two-by-two, they lined up across the gym and waited for the king and queen to be announced.
Deidra Woodward from the girls’ varsity team and Nate Young from the boys’ varsity team were crowned queen and king.
Even though Harmony’s team lost, there was a lot of school spirit at the homecoming game.
Senior Night was also held for the seniors of the basketball teams and pep band last week.
While the seniors’ biographies were read, the students presented them with gifts.
The pep band seniors are Mikala Eger, Lexie Houser and Erin Hutton.
The basketball seniors are Robert Nalley, Evan Novella, Nathan Young, Brandon Fox, Tyler Tiesi, Deidra Woodward and Santana Woodley.
