‘Married with Stepchildren’ :: Grace United Methodist Church will hold a program on stepparenting, “Married with Stepchildren,” from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the church.
All materials, simple breakfast foods and child care are free of charge following registration.
This program is not to scare but prepare and provide some relief regarding this type of parenting.
The National Stepfamily Resource Center, stepfamilies.info, provides information in reference to why stepparenting is very different than the first relationship.

Swiss steak dinner
RURAL VALLEY — The NuValley Presbyterian Church will hold its annual St. Patrick’s Day Swiss steak dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday in the fellowship hall, Rural Valley. The cost of the meal is $8.50 for adults, $4.50 children ages 5 to 12 and free for ages 4 and under. Takeouts will be available with no extra charge. Stuffed pork chop dinner
ARMAGH — A stuffed pork chop dinner will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Armagh United Methodist Church.
The meal includes pork chop, mashed potatoes, noodles, corn or peas, applesauce, rolls, dessert and drink. The cost is $9 for adults; $5 for children ages 5 to 11 and free for those 4 and younger.
Gospel music by the group United will follow at 7 p.m. Proceeds will be put toward new church doors.
Weekend camp meeting
CHERRY TREE — The Lighthouse, Morningstar Ministries, 4886 Route 240, Cherry Tree, is hosting a weekend camp meeting Friday through Sunday.
Services are at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday; 10 a.m. Saturday with Bible teachings for men and women; and 10 a.m. Sunday. The guest speakers will be Pastors Traci and Libby Fannin from Morehead, Ky. Pastor Libby will be speaking Friday, teaching the women at 10 a.m. Saturday, and speaking at 10 a.m. Sunday. Pastor Libby is a well-known speaker at many women’s conferences throughout the United States and as far away as Africa.
Pastor Traci will be teaching the men a 10 a.m. Saturday and will be the speaker for that evening’s service.
Also participating will be The Tony Dean Family Band from Evarts, Ky. They will be performing at each service. Tony and his sons were coal miners from Kentucky until God called them into a full-time ministry of singing gospel songs.
