Ryan Stewart, a senior at Indiana High School, will attend Grove City College this fall and will be joining the Wolverines’ football program.
Stewart, a 2012 WPIAL Section 1-AA Boys’ Soccer Finest 15 Honorable Mention selection and three-year letterman, joined the football program during his senior year as the team’s kicker. He scored 21 points for the Indians, and went 2-for-2 in field goal attempts and earned one letter.
He is the son of Brett and Diane Stewart.
IUP’s Eaton earns honor
IUP’s Katie Eaton was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West women’s tennis player of the week.
Eaton earned the honor after a 9-1 week in which she went 5-0 at No. 1 singles and 4-1 in No. 1 doubles.

Camp, clinic set at Homer-Center
HOMER CITY — A basketball camp and shooting clinic for boys and girls will be held at the Homer-Center High School this summer.
The camp will be held June 10 to 14. A session for players entering grades 3 to 6 will be held from 8 to 11:30 a.m., followed by a session for players entering grades 7 to 12 from 12:30 to 4 p.m. The cost is $65 before May 31 and $75 after.
The clinic will be held June 17 to 21. A session for players entering grades 3 to 7 will be held from 8 to 10 a.m., and a session for players entering grades 8 to 12 will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The cost is $45 before May 31 and $55 after.

Optimist opener postponed
Monday’s opening game in the Indiana Optimist Club Basketball Tournament was postponed due to inclement weather.
The game between Penns Manor and United has been rescheduled for 6 p.m. today at Indiana High School.
Today’s regularly scheduled games will follow, with Marion Center facing Blairsville and Indiana playing the Penns Manor-United winner.
