Holy Week services are being held at the following churches:
The Historic First Baptist Church of Glen Campbell will mark the death of Jesus Christ on a cross with a service of sacred worship to be held at the church at 7 p.m. Friday.
The evening service will provide the congregation and all worshippers an opportunity to hear again the scriptural texts that tell the story of Jesus’ Passion. The church’s longtime pastor, the Rev. Dr. Allan N. Campbell, will bring a sermon message based on the Lectionary Gospel lesson found in St. John 18:1-19:42. The sermon is titled: “How Often it Grows Darkest Before the Dawn.”
The sanctuary and chancel of the church will be stripped of all liturgical banners and hangings for the service except for a cross of thorns and a black shroud.
The church’s choir will present two anthems, directed by music director and organist Mitchell Jerko. There will also be the singing of hymns and special prayers offered.

A Maundy Thursday service will be held at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, in Lewisville, at 7 p.m. Holy Communion will be observed.
A Maundy Thursday service will be held at Calvary Presbyterian Church, Seventh and Church streets, Indiana, at 7 p.m. Communion will be observed. A Good Friday Tenebrae service will be held beginning at 7 p.m. An Easter service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday. The Rev. David Hanna will be minister, and all services feature music and choral performances.
A Good Friday service will be held at 7 p.m. at the Independent Country Church, 2813 Tipperary Road, Northern Cambria. All are welcome.
An Easter sunrise service at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, in Lewisville, will be held at 7:30 a.m. Sunday. The service, titled “The Easter Light,” will celebrate the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus. A light breakfast will follow.
An Early Easter Worship will be held at 8:30 a.m. at the Blairsville United Presbyterian Church, 137 North Walnut St., Blairsville. Easter breakfast will be served at 9:15 a.m. Easter worship will be at 11:00. The Rev. Timothy Monroe will be minister, and scriptures are Luke 24:1-12 and I Corinthians 15:16-20.
