MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP — PennDOT has advised motorists that Trojan Road has been closed due to a small, developing sinkhole.
The road’s entire length, from Route 286 to Gipsy Road, will remain closed until PennDOT can conduct test boring and determine the cause of the depression. Testing is to be performed today.
“We should know more on Monday,” said PennDOT spokeswoman Deborah Casadei.
Casadei said the depression is small, about 16 inches deep and 2 feet wide by 4 feet long.
She said the road is being closed as a precaution.
