State police in Indiana have begun accepting applications for the annual Camp Cadet.
Designed to expose children in their early teens to a career in law enforcement, the camp is a weeklong experience for boys and girls ages 13 to 15.
Police said cadets work hands-on with troopers, emergency responders and members of investigative agencies as they learn about investigative techniques and participate in confidence-building and team-building exercises.
Applications are available at the state police barracks in White Township or online at www.indianacountycampcadet.org.
Applications are due by May 31.
