Local businessman Mark T. Milner has announced his candidacy for White Township tax collector.
Milner’s family have been residents of Indiana and White Township for three generations. Some of the intangible values learned from his parents of family, faith, integrity, work, generosity, love of country and love of community have helped Milner develop strong fundamental business practices.
Milner founded Milner Painting and Wall-Covering 15 years ago. The company offers detailed customer services, communication and organization that continue to make Milner a regional leader. The office of White Township tax collector will offer him the opportunity to continue professional public service.
As a full-time tax collector, he plans to be accessible and provide convenient services to citizens of White Township.
Milner grew up as one of 11 children. His family consists of his wife, Vicki (Kensey), IUP graduate Veronica, and present IUP student Garrett.
He studied business management at Allegany College of Maryland. Milner has past experience in retail management, vending business ownership and the insurance industry. Milner has spent many years playing organized basketball and as a youth and high school basketball coach. Milner is an active member of St. Thomas More University Parish and is an associate member of the Republican National Committee.
“It is a great day in Indiana, it is always a great day to be an American, and it is a great honor to be on this list of candidates that offer a diversity of experiences to the voters,” he said in a release.
