Highlights on cable channels for this weekend include the following:


7 p.m. — “Underworld: Evolution.” A werewolf and a vampire, forbidden lovers, attempt to unlock the secrets behind their tribes’ feud. Kate Beckinsale, Scott Speedman. Syfy

“Madagascar.” A zebra escapes from New York’s Central Park zoo, a lion, giraffe and hippo follow and the whole crew ends up stuck on an island. Voices of Ben Stiller, Chris Rock. Cartoon Network

8 p.m. — “Treasure Detectives.” A man has a pair of cufflinks that may have belonged to astronaut Neil Armstrong and may have traveled with Armstrong to the moon. CNBC

9 p.m. — “Battledogs.” When a werewolf virus threatens to decimate New York City, a rogue general uses the disease to create an army of super soldiers. Syfy


6 p.m. — “Erin Brockovich.” A single mother becomes a legal assistant and strives to bring down a California power company that is poisoning a city’s water supply. Julia Roberts, Albert Finney. AMC

7 p.m. — “Xtreme Waterparks.” Take an all-access look at some of the most over-the-top and exhilarating water rides in the world, including some in Italy. Travel Channel

8 p.m. — “You Live in What?” Among the homes visited are one converted from a historic gristmill and a dilapidated barn in France that became a family’s dream home. HGTV

9 p.m. — “Free Willy.” A wayward 12-year-old befriends an Orca whale that is later exploited by its owner. Lori Petty, Michael Madsen. Nickelodeon
