If you drive past the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex you may hear a roar from the arena. The country's top wrestlers will tangle in front of huge crowds. For the first time the Flo Nationals wrestling tournament has come to Indiana. Officials at the Kovalchick Center tell us day one was a huge success.
The tournament is an opportunity for the country's best wrestlers to make their mark and get recruited by college coaches in attendance.
Several wrestlers from Indiana County and the surrounding area are competing for a title in the bracket.
For the first time organizers of the Flo Nationals have added Middle School and Elementary Divisions.
Today, the high school tournament continues. The younger wrestlers will compete on Sunday.
