SALE: The Burrell Township Library will hold its annual book sale through April 30.
There will be a variety of hardbacks and paperbacks, VHS tapes and children’s books to choose from. All proceeds benefit the library.
MEETING: The Indiana Hospital Nurses Alumni Association will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Private Dining Room 3 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. The speaker will be Dr. McDowell.
The Indiana Nurses Alumni is open to all Indiana Hospital alumni and any registered nurse who has ever worked at IRMC.
DINNER: A chicken and holupki dinner will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 21 at Christ Our Savior Orthodox Church, corner or Tanoma Road and Route 286 East, Rayne Township.
The cost will be $10 for adults, $3 for children 5 to 12 and free for children 4 and younger.
A fast takeout line will be available. The public is welcome.
MEETING: The Purchase Line School District retired female employees will meet for lunch at noon April 17 at Hoss’s Steak and Sea House, White Township.
TEA: Indiana County’s Link to Aging and Disability Resources will host a caregiver tea for those who provide care to the elderly and to disabled individuals over the age of 17 in Indiana County. The event will be held at Aging Services Inc., 1055 Oak St., Indiana, from 1 to 4 p.m. May 2. Guest speakers will be attorney Mike Clark and registered nurse Amy Simon from Community Health Connections. Clark will be presenting on power of attorney, living wills, advanced directives and trusts. Simon will be presenting on Alzheimer’s behavior and understanding.
