Neighbors Helping Neighbors, a community nutrition food drive sponsored by Indiana University of Pennsylvania students in the Department of Food and Nutrition, will take place in several locations throughout Indiana County on May 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Nonperishable foods, personal care items and monetary donations (every $1 buys 10 pounds of food) will be accepted at Giant Eagle, Walmart, Valeski’s Bi-Lo and Big Lots in White Township, Mercik’s Bi-Lo in Homer City, Tate’s Supermarket in Clymer, Shop ’n Save in Saltsburg and all four Indiana County McDonald’s locations. Donation cans will also be placed at many local restaurants and at Aramark locations on the IUP campus.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors benefits hungry families in Indiana County through the food pantries of the Indiana County Community Action Program.
