The Indiana Art Association will hold its 13th annual Arts Camp in July.
Camp for elementary students in grades 1-6 will be held July 15 to 19 at East Pike Elementary School. Camp for those in grades 7-12 will be July 22 to 26.
Morning art classes will be held at The Artists Hand Gallery, and afternoon classes in theater and music will be held at the Philadelphia Street Playhouse. Both locations are on Philadelphia Street in downtown Indiana.
Both groups will have a show and reception on the Friday evening following their week of camp.
Participants should sign up for the grade they are now completing, not their grade for the next school year.
The elementary camp will run from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with a break for lunch. The cost for the week will be $125 for full-day camp or $90 for one subject.
Secondary camp will begin with an art class at The Artists Hand Gallery from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., have an hour lunch break, then resume at The Philadelphia Street Playhouse with a theater class from noon to 2 p.m. and a music class from 2 to 4 p.m. Cost for the week is $150.
All registrations received before June 15 will receive a $25 discount. Make checks payable to Indiana Art Association and send them to Trish Dodson, 33 Jeffrey St., Indiana, PA 15701.
The teachers for the elementary level for theater will be Robyn Bailey-Orchard and Megan Klingensmith. Marc Nelson will be teaching music. Art teachers will be Jill Shinsky, Jess Green and Greg Hartnett. Junior and senior high teachers this year will be Bailey-Orchard, drama; Nelson, music; and Arlene Miller, art.
