Casey Sturiale and Adam Carnahan were joined in marriage on Sept. 29, 2012, during a double-ring ceremony at Bethel Presbyterian Church in Indiana.
Casey is the daughter of Chuck and Wendy Sturiale, of Blairsville, and Adam is the son of Terry and Barb Carnahan, of Brush Valley.
The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Jeff Smith, with music provided by Adam Lenzi, pianist, and vocalists Terry and David Semsick.
The bride, who was given by her parents, was escorted by her father. The matron of honor was Chelsea Steigert, sister of the bride, and the maid of honor was Christa Sturiale, also sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Laura Hutcheson, cousin of the bride; Maura Monahan; Sarah Craig, sister of the groom; and Melissa Duckworth, sister of the groom. Flower girls were Josie Zdun, cousin of the bride, and Bella Sully, cousin of the groom.
The best man in the ceremony was Joseph Innocenti, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Nathan McNutt; John Steigert, brother-in-law of the bride; Mitchell Peffer, cousin of the groom; Joseph Craig, brother-in-law of the groom; and Jason St. Clair. Ring bearers were Griffen Zdun, cousin of the bride, and Jacob Duckworth, nephew of the groom.
A reception was held at the Indiana Country Club.
The couple honeymooned in Riviera Maya, Mexico, for one week.
Casey is a 2008 graduate of Blairsville High School and a 2012 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She currently works as a substitute teacher in Indiana County schools and at the Evergreen Boys and Girls Club of Homer City.
Adam is a 1998 graduate of United High School and a 2002 graduate of Gannon University, where he received a bachelor’s in chemistry. He works at Pace Analytical in Greensburg.
The couple reside at their home in Blairsville.
