The Jimmy Stewart 105th Birthday Camporee will be held Friday through next Sunday at the J.S. Mack Community Center. This event has been held every 10 years at the fairgrounds since 1983, when Stewart visited the Scouts at the camporee on his 75th birthday.

The honor is available to Scouts nationwide, who can take the tour online, and was unveiled at the 95th Birthday Camporee.
Scouts of Troop 11 of Indiana were the first to receive it.
• Elected officials — 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the fairgrounds. Local elected officials will be working with the Scouts.
• Award presentation — 7 p.m. Saturday. U.S. Congressman Glenn “G.T.” Thompson, of State College, will present the awards. Thompson was a Distinguished Eagle Scout as a boy and returns each year to the camporee.
