Tubmill club to hold kids day

BOLIVAR — The Tubmill Trout Club will hold its 15th annual kids day Saturday and Sunday, May 18 and 19.

Fishmas Eve will be held Friday, May 17, at 6 p.m. Trout will be stocked by parents and youngsters for the 9 a.m. start of kids day on Saturday and 4 p.m. start Sunday at the Leo Altimus farm near Bolivar.

Prizes will be drawn every 20 minutes, and hamburgers, hotdogs, drinks and snacks will be available beginning at 11 a.m.

Area youths to 15 years of age are invited. There is no charge.

The event is sponsored by NRG Energy and Indiana First Bank.

Rabies clinic set in Homer City

HOMER CITY — A rabies clinic will be held Saturday, June 1, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Flooday Park.

The fee is $10 per dog or cat.

The clinic is sponsored by the Indiana County Sportsmen’s and Conservation League.

Bass tournament slated June 16

NORTHERN CAMBRIA  — The Hope Fire Company will hold its 23rd annual open buddy bass tournament on Sunday, June 16.

First place is guaranteed $1,000, and prizes are awarded to the top 20 places.

Keystone club to hold 3-D shoots

ATWOOD — The Keystone Sportsmen Club holds 3-D shoots on Sundays, May 19, July 21, Aug. 25 and Sept 22.

The September shoot is a Hunt of a Lifetime benefit shoot.

Saltsburg club schedules shoots

SALTSBURG  — The Saltsburg Sportsmen’s Club has set its 3-D shoot schedule.

Shoots will be held the first Sunday of each month: June 2, July 7 and Aug. 4. Youths 16 and under shoot free at the July shoot.

Registration will be held from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. the day of each shoot.

The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for youths. Cubs shoot for free.

Cowboy shoots set at club

The Indiana Bow and Gun Club will hold cowboy action shoots on May 19, June 23, July 28, Aug. 25, Sept. 22 and Oct. 27.

Registration is from 9 to 10 a.m. A mandatory safety meeting begins at 10 a.m.

Single Action Shooting Society rules apply. Shooters under 16 must be accompanied by a parent. No shooters under 12 are allowed.

Appropriate dress of the late 1800s is required.
