YOUTH LEGION: Indiana holds off Clymer

Ian Helsel ripped an RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift Indiana Lions to a 4-3 win over Clymer Legion in an Indiana County Youth Legion baseball game Tuesday at Lions Field.

With the score tied 3-3 and the bases loaded, Helsel ripped a base hit that plated Cameron Allmendinger for the game-winning run.

Allmendinger fired six-hitter, striking out 14 and walked three. Izaak Gray paced Indiana Lions with a double and a triple.

Collin Trinkley singled twice to lead Clymer Legion.


S.W. JACK 11, UNITED NRG 4: S.W. Jack jumped out to a 7-0 second-inning lead and piled up 14 hits en route to an easy win over United NRG in a game that was shortened to five innings due to darkness.

Chase Kromer double twice to power S.W. Jack. Bobby Bell and Zach Schultz each singled and doubled, and Jake Kelly and Ryan Palmer each singled twice.

Winning pitcher Joe Wilson struck out three and allowed three hits in four innings.

Nathan Fabrizio hit a two-run single to lead United NRG.


WALBECK INSURANCE 11, MARION CENTER 3: Walbeck Insurance outhit Marion Center 9-4 and notched its first victory with a win at FMC Sport’s Complex.

Alex Arone struck out six, walked three and allowed four hits in 6 2-3 innings to pick up the win. Logan Dellafiora led Walbeck Insurance by going 3-for-4. Adam McCombs singled twice.
