Knitting Class, 10:30 a.m.: For beginners or those looking to improve their skills. Refreshments provided.
• IFL Classics Book Club, 10:30 a.m.: “Kim.” Discussion of the Rudyard Kipling novel. Refreshments provided.
• Dr. Irwin Marcus lecture, 1 p.m.: “United States Higher Education, 1940-1963.” Exploration of the elements that played important roles in both the nation and higher education during this time period. Refreshments provided.
IFL Film Club, 2 p.m.: “Jack Reacher.” Screening and discussion of the 2012 film starring Tom Cruise and based on the novels of Lee Child. Refreshments provided
“Dig Into Reading” with the IFL’s Summer Reading Program Kickoff on June 10 at Mack Park. There will be a “truck petting zoo,” where kids will get to see and touch earth-moving equipment, as well as swimming, activities and food.
