INDIANA COUNTY YOUTH LEGION: Indiana Lions gets past winless Marion Center

Indiana Lions limited Marion Center to a single hit and used a three-run second inning to cruise to a 5-2 win in an Indiana County Youth Legion baseball game Wednesday at Lions Field.

Cameron Allmendinger struck out nine, walked two and allowed one hit in five innings of relief for Indiana Lions. Allmendinger also had two hits, including a double, scored two runs and drove in a run.

Izaak Gray singled and doubled for Indiana Lions. Winning pitcher Ryan Hoff struck out three and allowed no hits in two innings.

After falling behind 2-1 in the second inning, Indiana Lions plated three runs in the bottom half of the inning to take the lead for good.

Kyle Kinter notched Marion Center’s lone hit, a single in the sixth.

Indiana Lions (3-1) plays host to Walbeck Insurance today. Marion Center (0-7) welcomes United on Friday.
