State police at Indiana will conduct a Child Passenger Safety Seat Check at the state police barracks, 4221 Route 286 West, from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The safety seat checks are held to highlight the importance of children being properly secured in vehicles and to emphasize the need for consumers to have their car seats inspected.

The event will allow child passenger safety technicians to educate the motoring public on the proper use and installation of child safety seats.
