MARION CENTER — Marion Center used big rallies in the first and fourth innings to score a 7-1 win over Indiana Legion in an Indiana County Senior Legion baseball game Sunday.

Matt Popovich picked up the win, striking out six and walking five in four innings.

C.J. Stiles led Marion Center by going 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBIs.

“He’s a good ballplayer,” Marion Center coach Joe Bunyak said. “He’s my go-to-guy. We were missing some people, so I felt comfortable plugging him into the cleanup spot.”

For Indiana, Bo Putt went 3-for-4. Putt struck out five and walked two in a complete-game losing effort.

Both teams play Tuesday. Marion Center (3-2) travels to Young Township, and Indiana Legion visits Punxsutawney.
