CLYMER — Beginning Monday, traffic on the bridge carrying Route 286 over Two Lick Creek and the railroad on the east end of Clymer Borough will be restricted to one lane. It will be controlled by temporary traffic signals and there will be no width restrictions.
According to PennDOT, single-lane traffic will allow preservation work to be done, including painting on the underside of the bridge, concrete deck repairs and the installation of an epoxy surface treatment. This work is expected to be completed before the end of September.
Work on this preservation project is being completed by Thornbury Inc.
PennDOT reminds motorists to be alert to changing conditions and to pay attention in the work zone, where fines are doubled.
