Dorothy (Rearick) Adams is celebrating her 91st birthday today. Formerly of the Elderton area, she now resides in Indiana.
Dorothy worked many years at Musser Nursery then at Indian Haven until her retirement.
She is a longtime member of Grove Chapel Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school and was active in the Altar Guild and served on the church council. She remains active in the Lutheran Church Women’s group.
Some of the activities she enjoys are playing cards and other games at Aging Services and bingo and Scrabble with family members.
In the evenings she crochets or quilts while watching the Pirates or Penguins. Her many descendants have been the lucky recipients of her many handmade quilts and afghans.
She is the mother of six children: Dwight (deceased); Delone, of Home; James B., of Home; Lyle, of Minnesota; Dorothy J. (deceased); and Louella Ondo, of Home.
There are also many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She will be celebrating with her family on her special day, which she also shares with her great-grandson, Matthew Fulton.
