The moon in its waxing phase shone Friday behind the statue “Enlightenment Giving Power” by John Gelert. The statue sits at the top of the dome of the Bergen County Courthouse in Hackensack, N.J. The June full moon is expected to be 13.5 percent closer to earth, a phenomenon known as “supermoon.” Indiana County residents should be able to see the moon when it reaches its full phase by Sunday.
