HOMER CITY — The Hoodlebug 5K Run and Fun Walk will be held Sunday, July 14, in Homer City. Race-day registration opens at 4:30 p.m. at Floodway Park on Main Street, and the race begins at 6 p.m. The course is on city streets in Homer City and Center Township, and part of the last mile is on the Hoodlebug Trail. The Hoodlebug 5K is conducted by Indiana Road Runners Club in conjunction with the Homer City Business Association’s annual festival. Race applications can be downloaded at or can be picked up at GingerbreadMan Running Co., 714 Philadelphia St., Indiana.



MARION CENTER — The Marion Center Basketball Boosters will hold a summer camp for boys and girls from 9 a.m. to noon June 17 to 20. The camp is for players entering grades 2 through 7. Marion Center High School coaches and players will be instructors. The cost is $65.Registration will be held on Monday, June 17, at 8:30 a.m.

Additionally, the Marion Center Basketball Boosters will hold Drills & Skills sessions in June and July. The varsity girls’ basketball team will run drills for students in grades 2 through 6. The dates are: June 25, July 2, 9 and 16 (Tuesdays) from 7 to 8 p.m.; June 27, July 11 and 18 (Thursdays) from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Players may register for the first session on June 25.
