A neighbor with a fire extinguisher controlled a minor fire that started on the outside of the Dave Bocz residence along East 11th Street, Lucernmines, at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

Danny Sacco, first assistant chief of the Homer City Volunteer Fire Department, said the fire started on the side of the house near the main electrical meter and water meter. The residents were not home and no one was hurt.

Firefighters from Coral-Graceton, Black Lick and Indiana and the rapid intervention team also responded to the alarm.
