Four-H members of the Great Egg-spectations 4-H Club recently attended two state 4-H poultry programs.
Five 4-H members, one leader, and two parents participated in poultry science workshops at the Poultry 101 Conference at Penn State. The county delegation included members Teresa Shields, Paige Smith, Elizabeth Buchanan, Marshall Richardson and Garrett Richardson. Leader Lori Richardson accompanied the group as did parents Brian and Sally Buchanan.
Nine members of the club also competed in the state 4-H poultry judging contest in State College. Junior division competitors were Dragon Powell, who took 10th place; Chase Walker, tenth place; Jessica and Elizabeth Buch-anan, and Rachel and Paige Smith. Senior division participants were Garrett Richardson, ninth; Elizabeth Conroy, tenth, and Marshall Richardson. Twenty-nine members from four counties competed. Leader Lori Richardson chaperoned the group, and parents Mary Conroy and Chad Walker also attended.
