B.E. Taylor to make return to Indiana
The B.E. Taylor Christmas Concert, presented by S&T Bank, will return to the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex in White Township in a benefit for Renda Broadcasting’s Teddy Bear Fund Drive at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 20.
Taylor’s Christmas concert is a holiday musical tradition that played in Indiana for the first time last year to rave reviews. It played throughout the tri-state region to more than 40,000 fans in the month of December.
Music from Taylor’s two Christmas CDs can be heard on adult contemporary radio stations throughout the country during the Christmas season. His Christmas concert was filmed and picked up by American Public Television and aired on 200 PBS stations nationally throughout the holiday season.
“Last year’s show was unbelievable and we are so excited to be coming back,” Taylor said. “We had an incredible response, the sound in the KCAC was unreal, the glow sticks, and the energy from the crowd that night was something we certainly hope to replicate.”
This concert will benefit the Renda Broadcasting Teddy Bear Fund Drive. In its 34th year, the drive has generated more than $2.1 million for the Indiana Regional Medical Center Pediatric Unit and the Free Care Fund at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
“It was really an easy decision to bring this show back,” said Mark Bertig, vice president and general manager of Renda Broadcasting. “First of all, the quality of the show is truly outstanding. The survey forms from last year were glowing with praise with comments like ‘please bring B.E. back,’ so we are happy to do just that, and it’s all for a great cause. Five days before Christmas, it should be extra special.”
Tickets will go on sale Friday and are priced at $29.50 for upper side view seating; $35 for arena seating; and $50 for floor seating in the first eight rows. For tickets, visit the Kovalchick Complex box office; www.kovalchick complex.com; or call (800) 298-4200.
