Brief traffic stoppages will continue tomorrow on Route 85 to finish the box culvert installation as part of the project to replace the bridge carrying Route 85 over a tributary of Cowanshannock Creek in Armstrong County, according to Pennsylvania Department of Transportation officials.
Between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., 15-minute traffic stoppages will occur as the culvert installation is completed. There will be one traffic stoppage per hour during the time period.
PennDOT reminds motorists to be alert to changing conditions and to pay attention to flaggers in the work zone. Remember fines are doubled; drive responsibly in work zones for your safety and the safety of the workers.
This $994,171 bridge replacement project is being constructed by M and B Services LLC of Clarion, according to PennDOT. The project is expected to be completed by the end of August.
