State police at Indiana stopped Wesley Shields, 28, of Indiana, on Route 403 at Hillside Drive, for a bench warrant at 2:55 p.m. Thursday.
Police said Shields attempted to flee and was subdued with an electroshock stun gun and taken into custody. A search revealed he was in possession of a stamp bag of heroin and drug paraphernalia, according to police.
He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia and resisting arrest, police said.
On July 28 or 29, someone damaged the lawn at the Iselin Community Church, 1790 Iselin Road.
State police at Indiana said someone drove a vehicle over the grass and a cement walk at the church.
State police at Indiana charged Arthur Winch, 35, of Blairsville, with harassment.
Police said that during an argument at 11:30 a.m. on July 29 at 130 Rhine Road, Winch struck Barbara Winch, 35, three times on the buttocks with his fist.
YOUNG TOWNSHIP, JEFFERSON COUNTY
State police at Punxsutawney charged Richard Rishell, 76, of Rossiter, with indirect criminal contempt following an incident in the Walmart parking lot at 1:25 a.m. July 24.
Police said Rishell allegedly violated a protection from abuse order issued in Indiana County.
The victims were Gregory Rishell, 43, and Tanya Rishell, 39, both of Rossiter, police said.
Richard Rishell was placed in the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail, according to police.
FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP, WESTMORELAND COUNTY
Amanda Overly told state police at Greensburg a burglar entered her residence at 551 Lear St., Bolivar, through an unlocked back door Aug. 6.
The burglar stole a 42-inch flat-screen TV, a Sony 3 disc stereo and two computers, all valued at $1,650.
State police at Indiana did not identify the 51-year-old Indiana woman who told police her iPhone was stolen after she left it in a restroom stall at Walmart.
Police said the phone was taken about 10:30 a.m. July 28.
