First-place Blairsville plated two runs in the fifth inning and five in the sixth to rally for a win over Trendy Trades in an Indiana County League baseball game Monday at One River Field.

Blairsville earned its seventh come-from-behind win of the season.

“I hope I don’t start expecting this,” Blairsville player-manager Joe Culler said. “We’ve been stressing the last few games to get leads early and put teams away, but a win’s a win.”

Blairsville trailed 1-0 before scoring twice in the fifth and fell behind 3-2 in the top of the sixth before erupting for five runs in the bottom of the inning. The Colts struck for four hits and a walk during the big inning. Culler smacked a two-run single, and Jarred Pennavaria finished the scoring with a two-run double.

Pennavaria powered Blairsville by going 2-for-4 with four RBIs. Culler finished 2-for-4.

Pennavaria also struck out five, walked two and allowed seven hits in a complete-game win.

Tendy Trades’ Erick Skultety struck out five, walked two and allowed seven hits in a complete-game effort. He also singled twice.

Both teams play today. Blairsville (10-3-1) travels to Amfire Mining, and Trendy Trades (3-7) plays host to Bovard.
