Young Township surrendered a 5-1 lead and then scored a run in the eighth inning to knock off Fezell Enterprises in Punxsutawney.
Young Township took a 5-1 lead into the fifth inning, but Fezell Enterprises scored three times in the fifth and once in the sixth to forge a 5-5 tie.
Jake Townsend went 3-for-5 with a triple and an RBI for Young Township. Tanner Yard banged out two hits and drove in two runs, and Devin Fairman knocked in two runs. Tyler Hill also drove in a run.
Joey DiPietro had two hits and Peyton Graham knocked in two runs for Fezell Enterprises.
Fairman picked up the win in relief. He took over for Brady Neal in the fifth inning, allowing one hit and overcoming five walks.
Dylan Bender suffered the loss in relief.
Both teams play this evening. Fezell Enterprises (5-9) visits Derry, and Young Township (9-5) plays host to Indiana Lions.
