VINTONDALE — The annual church festival will be held at 5 p.m. today in the pavilion at Blacklick Community United Methodist Church, 1453 Bracken Road, Vintondale.
There will be chicken, hot sausage, hamburgers, hot dogs, potato/macaroni salad, baked beans, side dishes, desserts and beverages.
A choice of one meat, sides, dessert and beverage is $5 for adults and $2.50 for ages 12 and younger.

• “Down by the Riverside” — The Indiana and Kittanning campuses of Harvest Community Church will meet at 10 a.m. Sunday at the Murtha Amphitheatre, Kittanning Riverfront Park, Water Street, Kittanning. There will be live music with the Harvest Band, a gospel-centered message, public baptism, a children’s party and a free picnic.
• Family Fun Booth — The Harvest Community Church Family Fun Booth will be open Sunday through Aug. 31 at the Indiana County Fair.
Roast beef dinner
UREY — A roast beef dinner will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at SS. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, Urey. There will also be a trash and treasure sale.
The menu includes roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, stuffed cabbage, haluski, salad, dessert and beverage. Takeouts will be available.

Ice cream for breakfast
ARMAGH — The second annual Ice Cream for Breakfast with Faith will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 31 at the Armagh Fire Hall.
In exchange for a donation, those attending will receive an ice cream sundae with their favorite toppings. There will also be music, crafts, clowns, balloon animals and face painting at 10 a.m. All proceeds benefit Give Kids the World Village.
Gospel music concert
An evening of gospel music featuring CrossOver and Channing Eleton will be held at 6 p.m. Sept. 1 at the Independent Traditional Holiness Church, 5065 Ferguson Road, Indiana.
CrossOver is comprised of Beau and Jeanine Litz, their son Shane and his wife, Cortney (Fry). Eleton is the former pianist for Poet Voices and Gold City.

Friday Night Light
PENN RUN — Friday Night Light will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Sept. 6 at the Penn Run Christian Outreach Center, 75 Grace Church Road, Penn Run. The gathering will be held under the pavilion, weather permitting.

Holy Land trip
HOMER CITY — The Rev. Dr. Paul Morris, a retired pastor from Homer City, will lead a group on a 10-day Holy Land trip. The journey includes Galilee, Nazareth, the Mount of Olives, Jerusalem, the Garden Tomb and more.
The travel/study program has been arranged by Educational Opportunities, a Christian tour company. Their main objective is to provide pastors and laity affordable first-class learning experiences in the lands of the Bible. The tour provides sightseeing, daily devotions and lectures.
