Marion Center grad wins FBLA contest

Lojjik Braughler, a 2013 graduate of Marion Center Area High School, has received national recognition at the PBL Awards of Excellence at the Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda.

Braughler won first place in the Technology Concepts competition on June 25. In an intensive written test, he scored the highest score in the country. Braughler was awarded a $500 award for his efforts at the competition in Anaheim, Calif.

FBLA-PBL, the largest and oldest student business organization, held its national leadership conference at the Hilton Anaheim from June 22 to 25.

The award was part of a comprehensive competitive events program sponsored by FBLA-PBL. Individuals, state teams and local chapters were encouraged to compete in any of the more than 50 different events representing a range of activities and the business and leadership development focus of FBLA-PBL.
