Gospel music concert
An evening of gospel music featuring CrossOver and Channing Eleton will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Independent Traditional Holiness Church, 5065 Ferguson Road, Indiana.
CrossOver is composed of Beau and Jeanine Litz, their son Shane and his wife, Cortney (Fry). Eleton is the former pianist for Poet Voices and Gold City.

Awana to begin

Friday Night Light
PENN RUN — Friday Night Light will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Penn Run Christian Outreach Center, 75 Grace Church Road, Penn Run. The gathering will be held under the pavilion, weather permitting.
There will be a campfire, snacks, volleyball, basketball, games and activities. The event is sponsored by Harmony Presbyterian Church, Maple Grove Church of God, Penn Run Wesleyan, Kenwood Church of the Nazarene and Penn Run Church of the Brethren.

Sunday school breakfast
CLARKSBURG — Clarksburg Trinity Presbyterian Church will begin Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. Sept. 15. There are classes for all ages from 3 and older. To start off the year, a breakfast will be held at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 8 in the Clarksburg Trinity Social Hall.
Swiss steak dinner
ROBINSON — The Helping Hands of the Robinson Evangelical United Methodist Church will hold a Swiss steak dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 8 at the church, 332 Mary St., Robinson.
The cost is $8 for adults, $3 for children ages 5 to 12 and free for ages 4 and younger. Take-outs are available.

Theater group to begin
DAYTON — The Dayton Community Players theater group will begin a new season at 7 p.m. Sept. 10 at the Dayton United Methodist Christian Life Center, 105 E. Church Ave., Dayton.

The second annual Fun in the Fall celebration will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. Sept. 21 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 398 Church St., Indiana. An ice cream social will begin at 6 p.m.

BLAIRSVILLE — A chicken and biscuit dinner will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sept. 21 at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, 4660 Route 22 East, five miles east of Blairsville.

Holy Land trip
HOMER CITY — The Rev. Dr. Paul Morris, a retired pastor from Homer City, will lead a group on a 10-day Holy Land trip. The journey includes Galilee, Nazareth, the Mount of Olives, Jerusalem, the Garden Tomb and more.
The travel/study program has been arranged by Educational Opportunities, a Christian tour company. Their main objective is to provide pastors and laity affordable first-class learning experiences in the lands of the Bible. The tour provides sightseeing, daily devotions and lectures.
