Chauncey Ross, Web editor and a staff writer at The Indiana Gazette, spoke to students about interviewing techniques Friday during the high school journalism workshop at the HUB at IUP.
The annual workshop is a partnership between the university’s journalism department and the Gazette.
The keynote speaker was the newspaper’s executive editor, Eric Ebeling, who stressed the importance of accuracy in all facets of reporting and editing. Several other Gazette staffers led sessions throughout the morning.
The event culminated with a current events quiz, won this year by students from Indiana Area Senior High School.
